The Carbon Steel Pipe is made of the carbon steel alloy which is having a high content of carbon in the composition as compared to the stainless steel. They are having the lesser composition of chromium and nickel. They are having the rough surface and lesser brighter finish and instead they have a little matte finish. They are usually tough in nature and have high hardness. The carbon steel pipes are the best application in the construction work.
These pipes are usually made of the alloy having higher carbon content. This accounts for the pipe to be having a greater tensile strength and greater yield strength. They are having the resistive response for the different factors of corrosion like oxidation and reduction. They are also resistive to mild chemical and gases. These pipes are also resistive to the high-temperature heat temperature. They become much more brittle and hard when exposed to high temperature. They are also having moderate ductility.
