The AISI/SS 436 / 436L Plates are the steel plates which are made of ferritic stainless steel. They are generally austenitic stainless steel. It has the best working at annealed conditions. The Stainless Steel 436 / 436L plates are also having good mechanical properties thus they can withstand easily against pitting corrosion and cracking, and also they are having good tensile strength. • Magnetic response- this is done to check the magnetic response of the steel. Austenitic stainless steel is generally non-reactive to the magnetic field even at high temperature.
• Nitric acid reaction- it is strongly resistive towards the attack of nitric acid.
• Molybdenum spot test- this is done to check the composition of molybdenum in the steel plate.
